If you would like to submit project work to be showcased in the Legislative Booklet, register below and we will reach out to you.
Once you register, someone will reach out to you with a link to share your project files and give you instructions on what all is needed from you.
SCHEDULE:
7:00am – Gather as a group to setup the single table with consolidated digital display
7:30am – Enjoy coffee, juice, croissants served in Rotunda. Firms begin one-on-one discussions with their legislators
9:00am - Begin wrapping up our day on the Hill
REGISTER:
This is a free event for Firms and Students to attend but we ask that you RSVP.
FIRMS: With the new digital format, space is now unlimited. Only one contact needs to RSVP per firm and indicate the number representatives who will be attending. As many firm representatives as you would like are welcome to attend. As soon as you decide what projects you are going to display, send them to excomm@iaalsa.org by Friday, January 24th, 2025. If you have any questions please reach out to Payton Anson payton.anson@bolton-menk.com and Madison Dierks mdierks@thinkconfluence.com who be compiling them.
Please include the project name, City and/or County, the district, and what type of project it is so they can give the appropriate legislators a heads up that a project in their district is featured.
STUDENTS: You are encouraged to attend! Please come and join the effort to educate our legislatures about the profession! Feel free to submit your work as well. Please RSVP through the link provided.
ONE LAST IMPORTANT REQUEST: Whether or not you’ll be able to attend, please take a moment to contact your state legislators, and invite them to stop by this event to see what you and/or your colleagues are doing around the state. A draft letter is attached for your use. We suggest you use the content in this letter to craft an email. For legislative information, please visit https://www.legis.iowa.gov/legislators. Click on the Legislators tab and you can search by various methods. Simply click the name to see more information including email address. Legislators are most likely to attend when contacted directly by their constituents. Please take the time to personalize the attached verbiage and e-mail your legislators even if you cannot attend.
