2026 Iowa ASLA Awards Program

The Iowa Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects is pleased to issue this formal Call for Entries for the 2026 Iowa ASLA Awards Program. Professional and Student Award Winners will be honored on Thursday, November 5th, 2026 at our Fall Awards Banquet at the Des Moines Heritage Center.  Once again, we will offer the opportunity to earn HSW credit that evening; more details will be forthcoming.

Participation in the awards program helps broaden professional boundaries, increases public awareness of the role of landscape architects, raises the standards of the discipline, and brings recognition to organizations and individuals who demonstrate superior skill in the practice and/or study of landscape architecture. A jury of qualified professionals from the Wisconsin Chapter will review each submittal and determine winners in each award category.

Nomination Categories

Professionals and Students may submit in the following categories: Design (Built), Design (Unbuilt), Planning and Analysis, Research, and Communication. Only Professionals may submit in the Community Stewardship and Historic Preservation categories.

Awards Timeline

Professional Registration & Payment Due: August 28th, 2026, by 5:00pm
Professional Submissions Uploaded: September 4th, 2026, by 5:00pm
Student Registration, Payment & Submission* Due: September 4th, 2026 Award Winners Notified: October 9th, 2026
Presentation of Awards: November 5th, 2026

*Students looking to register, pay and submit for awards on September 4th may register and pay via the website and email their awards submittal to Awards@iaasla.org
